This is how it can work out..
Good deal bad deal
You have a good stint with a web host.
Now and again the site is down usually for a day or so. They
reassure you, and off you go again to the next time when you
find contact with them is now e-mails, and answering
machine, which means "No instant solace," and rarely a
response. But you still don't check the site every
day.
Soon the time arives when you have no answering machine to
talk to - they never responded anyway - so it's e-mail queries
only. Then your e-mails seem to hit a brick wall. No
reply - just silence.
Eventually - after having the website off duty for for the
umpteenth time - out of action for six days, you decide to
call it a day and go through the hassle of moving the site to
another of your host services which is no bad thing
since, their service arrangement is so much better and
they seem to know what 'Good Service' means. Their hosting
rates are identical too.
This all spread over a three year period. By now
you're thinking, "Grown too fast and forgot the 'service'
bit." Fortunately you've spread your websites
around the hosting community - you have someone to compare
against.
Later, you came across a web site doing some good
work in explaining how bad the service is at
QAwebhosting.com And
you thought it was little old you ....
Before you ask - we don't know what QA is supposed to
be. At this time we'd suggest 'Quite Awful'. Others may
describe it differently ...
