A friend who'd just had a total crash on his computer said, "Only the new PC users, stony broke or slow witted would nowadays run computers for long without protection from virus, trojan and other malicious rubbish entering our space." He was thinking of himself - he'd been warned. It was he who said "leave it 'til later"

There's little or no reason for not shutting the doors to them when some protection software is free.
