Welcome Financial Services
Now there's a happy
sounding name for a financial company - pity about
unhappy customers.

Unhappy customers send out unhappy ripples about this one. A representative of one company who does
business with them is unhappy to be associated with this group who have an office in Leeds, Batley, Nottingham.
Rumour has it that they are not exactly precise when in their selling mode, signing people up for Hire Purchase
contracts - especially the motor trade deals.
They do welcome your average Joe. But when the time comes for Joe to move on it's said that the gear shifts into
overdrive to squeeze as much profit as they can out of poor old Joe. Remarkably they have, by this time, had a good
run of high profit, and it is alleged that they don't want to let good customers go elsewhere.
Tot up the figures on one of their contracts and it is easy to see why Joe wants out. This has to be one of the
most profitable businesses one could stumble into. Selling hire purchase agreements at such a high profit is likely
to make some millionaires.
The Office of Fair Trading have a strict code of conduct, but is it strict enough?
The Financial services as a whole is to be more strictly monitored; advisers must explain and tell the truth to
customers or risk being heavily fined or perhaps jailed.
Apparently this is not so in that part of the financial services inhabited by "welcome finance".
Amazing Effrontery - Update
Here we are 3 years later and this unfortunate is now found to have a bad credit
rating - courtesy of "Welcome Finance".
A couple of telephone calls to WELCOME FINANCE and it promises to be a re-run of
the first misbegotten act.
Would you believe that they were forced to admit the unfortunate error.
Eventually a promise is extracted from them to the effect that they will remove the offending lies which
they had placed on public view -although they said it would take 28 days to delete the lie.
Well (more than) 28 days later: you can guess what's coming now. Yes it's still there.
Another source confirmed that any change is normally made within a couple of days.
Time to threaten litigation! All of a sudden it is rectified 2 days later.
There's something to be said for searching for reputations of folk before dealing with them ...
There's
something to be said for not dealing with organisations
which perform at this very low level where stands "WELCOME
FINANCE"
